WordStream recently published an enlightening article citing the top 20 most expensive keywords for Bing Ads. While most are unsurprising (i.e. lawyers, insurance, mobile), there are a couple of odd standouts (podiatry?).
Keyword prices for Bing Ads are determined when advertisers compete in a Bing Ads Auctions for their desired keywords to attach to their product, service, or website. The specific price attached to the bid concerns how much they are willing to pay whenever a consumer clicks on the ad containing the keyword, otherwise known as cost-per-click or CPC. This is further determined by quality score and ad ranks – specifically the business’s ad rank and their competitor’s ad rank.
In the case of podiatry, that final CPC would be $29.89.
