Discontent “Brewing” Between Pabst and MillerCoors

Pabst Blue Ribbon was on the verge of shutting down before a new wave made the beer more popular than ever. By reposition,  their marketing PBR became the go-to drink for hipsters in a dark bar and engaged a demographic they previously failed to hit. it is well known how they turned things around for their company and the fact that they now appear to be at a standoff with the company that has brewed their beer for decades.

“Pabst’s attorneys have said in court documents and hearings that MillerCoors LLC is lying about its brewing capacity to break away from Pabst and capture its share of the cheap beer market by disrupting Pabst’s ability to compete”.

Pabst is reliant on MillerCoors because the only other domestic brewer with the capacity to fit their needs is Anheuser-Busch however, they do not do any contract brewing. This leaves Pabst with no other domestic brewing options. To read more about the brewing discontent between MillerCoors and Pabst take a look at the article below!
