Adobe Flash’s fall from grace has been anything but smooth. Its death, as we’ve covered before, is inevitable with some browsers, such as Firefox, already blocking it. Yet, even within its final throes of life, Flash has still managed to continuously aggravate the tortuous headaches that is has become known for. Engadget reports today that Flash has once again been the subject of a major security flaw enabling “critical vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of [an] affected system.” Adobe was quick to release a patch, citing its application a top priority for users of Windows, Macintosh, Linux, and ChromeOS.
In addition to Firefox, Facebook continues the push it began last July for a hard end-of-life term date for Flash and Google announced last month that it will be fazing out Flash display ads by early summer.
